5 Key Resume Tips by Sky High Resumes

  1. Always keep your Resume to 1-2 pages. Unless you are at the Senior or Executive level where it is acceptable to have a 3 page resume.
  2. Use measurable achievements in your resume rather than lists of responsiblitities. This will catch the Employer's eye and prove you have past success.
  3. You don't need to list all your jobs since 1974. Only those relevent to the job you are applying for. It is totally acceptable to have 2 or 3 resumes.
  4. Never leave unexplained for gaps in your resume. If you were off on parental leave or backpacking through Europe, you need to state this.
  5. Last but not least is Grammar. Always use spellcheck. Even one spelling mistake or use of slang on your resume will get you automatically deleted.
